In this conversation round, we invite young people of African origin who are born here (and normally have German nationality) to try to find out if they have the feeling of racism.
NRW youth talk about racism: steps to tackle it
The African community in NRW was shocked to see videos of Africans escaping the war in Ukraine, being handled differently and at times refused entry into neighbouring countries especially Poland. We also see how the world rallies behind Ukraine and miss seing this with the constant problems in Africa. This pushed us to have a conversation with young people about how they perceive racism and how to go about it.
