Microsoft Teams and Zoom Training
On Friday 07. May, we shall continue our media competence training with an introduction into using Microsoft Teams and Zooms in meetings.
The session will provide an opportunity for African organizations to learn both Meetings Tools and also for participants to understand how to use them.
In the digital world of today, meetings mostly take place in a virtual setup. You might want to talk to your large family distributed all over the globe, or maybe you want people worldwide to participate in a birth or death celebration or any event of your choice. It could still be that you want to discuss with colleagues on a project or that you have the responsibility to organize a training or school session. Whatever you choose to do, there is software to enable you hold your meeting. The most popular one we found commonly used in our community today is Zoom. Many people still do not know how to use zoom as an attendee or organizer.
Zoom also has its limitations, in terms of the cost when the number of participants goes over a certain threshold or in terms of sharing files and making them visible to a subset of persons. What you might need is a tool that helps you to collaborate with your group. For that we selected Microsoft Teams, which comes in many pricing models and has also a free model. If you can understand the use of both tools, then you are set for digital meetings any time anywhere.
In this session we are not only going to explain how to use Zoom and Microsoft Teams as an attendee but also as an event organizer. Do not afford to miss. This course targets all Africans within the state of North Rhine Westphalia.
