Mobile Apps for Beginners - EU Code week
In this free workshop we want to introduce young people into the world of programming Apps using the App Inventor. The programming of example apps will be demonstrated to the participants. Then they get the task to develop their own apps which they can present to the rest of the participants.
At the end of the workshop, the participants must have learnt the basics of programming and shall be awarded a certificate of participation. Snacks and soft drinks will be available throughout the workshop.
App Inventor is an open-source web application originally developed by Google and now maintained by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). It permits users to easily create apps for Android devices per drag and drop. The interface is very similar to that of Scratch.
